Bosscha Observatory (Lembang)
Located approximately 15 km north of Bandung at an elevation of 1,310 meters, Bosscha Observatory is a historic and active observatory that plays a central role in observational training for students.
Students use these instruments in observational astronomy courses involving photometry, spectroscopy, astrometry, and night-sky imaging. The activities are designed to enhance technical skills, scientific planning, and collaborative learning.
VGOS Radio Telescope
A major enhancement to Indonesia’s astronomical infrastructure is the VGOS Radio Telescope (VLBI Global Observing System), currently under development in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology and international partners.
